Roxette Postpones North American Tour Amid Rising Costs

The Swedish pop duo’s 40th-anniversary North American leg—originally slated to start in early September and wrap up in early October—has been postponed. The band’s own social-media notice, signed “Team Rox,” echoed the postponement language.

Roxette’s 1990 hit “It Must Have Been Love” recently entered YouTube’s Billion Views Club, underscoring the act’s enduring streaming appeal. After lead singer Marie Fredriksson’s death in 2019, founder/co-frontman Per Gessle revived the group in 2025 with Swedish star Lena Philipsson as the new vocalist. The revamped lineup has been touring successfully in Europe, completing shows in the Czech Republic and Austria and maintaining dates through August in Germany, Denmark, Finland and Switzerland.
