During Spiritbox’s set on July 15 at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, the band was opening for Evanescence with Nova Twins as co-headliners. Drummer Zev Rose, positioned behind his kit, signaled that an audience member was assaulting others outside the designated mosh pit. Frontwoman Courtney LaPlante halted the performance, announcing that the show would not continue until safety was assured. Security was summoned and the alleged aggressor was identified and removed from the venue.

Continuing the North American and UK Tours
Spiritbox remains on a North American tour supporting Evanescence and Nova Twins. The band’s next major leg begins in the United Kingdom on September 12 at Glasgow’s SEC, with additional dates in Nottingham, Manchester and Cardiff, concluding at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on September 19. They are also slated to support Metallica at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena on November 21 as part of the metal veterans’ “No Repeat Weekend.”
“Soft Spine” and Recent Accolades
The track that prompted the interruption, “Soft Spine,” appears on Spiritbox’s second studio album Tsunami Sea, released in March of the previous year. NME gave the album a four-star review, calling it “awe-inspiring modern metal” and noting the band’s push beyond traditional metalcore boundaries. “Soft Spine” was later performed at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where Spiritbox earned its third nomination for Best Metal Performance.
