Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old winger, has emerged as one of football’s most coveted young talents. After playing at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, just two years ago, he joined Spanish side Leganés in January 2025, progressed to their reserves, and transferred to RB Leipzig six months later. In his first full Bundesliga season, Diomande recorded 12 goals and eight assists, helping Leipzig to a third-place finish. At the recent World Cup, he created eleven chances in four matches for the Ivory Coast before the team’s round-of-32 exit to Norway.

Sources told ESPN that Real Madrid are set to finalize Diomande’s signing within the next few hours. The deal is expected to total €135 million (approximately $153.8 million) when all variables are met, with a guaranteed fee ranging between €115 million and €120 million. If the add-on clauses are triggered, the transfer would become Madrid’s most expensive acquisition, surpassing the fees paid for Jude Bellingham and Eden Hazard.
