Lions Release First-Round Cornerback Terrion Arnold Amid Felony Charges

The Detroit Lions cut Terrion Arnold, the 2024 first-round pick from Alabama, after he was arrested on felony armed-robbery and kidnapping charges. The release was announced on Tuesday night, with the team clearing him through waivers, making him an unrestricted free agent while he awaits trial.

Arnold turned himself in on June 24 in connection with a February 2026 kidnapping and robbery incident that occurred in the Tampa area. He is currently out on a $1 million bond and subject to home confinement except for work and legal appointments.
