Frank Grillo Joins Political Kidnapping Comedy “Show of Hands”

“Show of Hands” is a comedy that follows film-student Jimmi Galligan as he attempts to fund his first feature by kidnapping Barlow Galligan, a conservative small-town mayor and congressional hopeful. The plot unfolds during the volatile week leading up to the 2024 presidential election, with the ransom escalating from $25,000 to $1 million and rival criminals entering the fray. The story intertwines the kidnapping with the Galligan family’s political and personal divisions.

The film is written and directed by P.J. Pesce, whose television credits include *Supernatural*, *The 100* and *Quantico*. Producer Noam Dromi and Rob Weiss are attached as producers, and the project will shoot in California to take advantage of a state tax credit.
