New Cast Additions for Season 5

Prime Video announced that the upcoming fifth season of its “Reacher” drama will feature four new series regulars. Jay Baruchel, known for *Fubar* and *This Is the End*, will portray Chief Buck Bauer. Kevin Durand, seen in *Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes* and *The Naked Gun*, is cast as Nokes. Amanda Ip, who appeared in *Transplant* and *Plan B*, joins as Michelle Chang. Ciara Bravo, recognized from *Voicemails for Isabelle* and *The Most Dangerous Game*, will play Eunice.

Series Background

“Reacher” adapts Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels, following the titular drifter—played by Alan Ritchson—as he travels the United States without a phone, confronting threats with his intellect and physical prowess. Season 5 is based on the twentieth novel in the series, *Make Me*. In this installment, Reacher’s train stops in the enigmatic town of Mother’s Rest, where he partners with a private investigator to locate a missing person and uncovers a lethal criminal conspiracy.

Production Team and Executive Oversight

The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. Nick Santora, credited for *FUBAR* and *Prison Break*, serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Alan Ritchson also holds an executive-producer role alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, Lisa Kussner, Sam Hill, Amy Pocha, and Seth Cohen. Paramount’s Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid act as executives-in-charge.

Upcoming Release Schedule

Prime Video has scheduled the fourth season of “Reacher” to premiere on Wednesday, August 12. The new cast members will appear throughout the fifth season, which follows the August 12 launch of Season 4.

These additions and production details signal the series’ continued expansion as it moves deeper into Lee Child’s novel catalog, maintaining its blend of action-driven storytelling and character-focused intrigue.
