New Cast Announced for Task Season 2

Deadline reports that HBO’s crime drama Task has added six actors to its Season 2 roster: Tim Blake Nelson, Jharrel Jerome, Brían F. O’Byrne, Bethlehem Million, Kevin Dunn, and Andrew Russel. Their characters join an existing lineup that includes Mark Ruffalo as Tom Brandis, Mahershala Ali as Eddie Barnes, and Julianne Nicholson as Lori Ross.

Setting and Premise of the New Season

The series, created by Brad Ingelsby, remains set in the working-class suburbs outside Philadelphia. In Season 2, an FBI agent heads a new task force aimed at halting a string of drug-house robberies orchestrated by an unsuspecting family man. As the investigation deepens, the line between perpetrator and target blurs, heightening the moral complexity of the narrative.
