Nothing’s budget sub-brand CMF introduced its first open-ear earbuds, the CMF Clip Pro, with a retail price of $99. The earbuds become purchasable in the United States beginning August 15, offered in three color options—Dark Grey, Light Grey and Coral.

The Clip Pro employs a “3-point clip” that distributes pressure across the ear, aiming to avoid the pinching sensation common with traditional earbuds. Each bud weighs 5.9 grams and flexes to accommodate various ear shapes, delivering a “barely there” feel. An update on August 4 clarified that earlier press materials mistakenly listed the weight as 6.5 grams.
Audio is driven by a 10.8 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver and supports LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. To compensate for bass loss inherent to open-ear designs, Nothing and CMF introduced “Ultra Bass Technology,” which the company describes as intelligently enhancing low frequencies while reducing treble-related distortion. Four built-in microphones are tuned to separate the wearer’s voice from ambient noise, and a software setting lets users adjust how much surrounding sound is audible to nearby listeners.
Battery Life, Connectivity and Controls
Nothing states the earbuds provide up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, extending to roughly 32.5–33 hours when the charging case is included. A 10-minute charge yields about four hours of listening time. The case features a rotating “Smart Dial” that controls volume, playback, and call handling without unlocking the phone. Bluetooth 5.4 enables multipoint pairing, and the earbuds are compatible with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. A low-latency mode is available for gaming, and the devices carry an IP54 rating for protection against dust and light splashes.
Pricing Context and Market Position
At $99, the Clip Pro matches the price of Nothing’s Ear 3A and original Ear buds, indicating no premium for the open-ear form factor. The combination of open-ear design, bass-enhancement technology, and a suite of connectivity features positions the Clip Pro as a budget-friendly option for users who prioritize situational awareness while listening.
