Authorities Intercept Boat
- Authorities intercepted a passenger boat 65 km (40 miles) from Kinshasa on July 25 after a passenger died of Ebola-like symptoms.
- Chinese-operated vessel with about 200 passengers was halted near Bende Bende port, prompting Health Minister Roger Kamba to send a lab for Ebola and cholera testing.
- Two adults, a three-year-old child and a newborn also died, while remaining passengers have tested negative and are expected to stay case-free after the 21-day incubation period.
