Fuego Eruption Ends
- INSIVUMEH announced the August 4–6 eruption ended, declared the area safe, and reported no deaths.
- CONRED said about 1,699 people were evacuated to five emergency shelters.
- INSIVUMEH said ash plumes rose 5,000–6,000 meters and ashfall reached 120 kilometers.
- INGUAT banned climbing on Volcán de Fuego and Acatenango and closed Route 14.
- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation warned pilots of ash-affected airspace west and west-southwest of the volcano while La Aurora Airport stayed open.
