Texans Extend Linebacker Henry To’oTo’o Through 2028

The Houston Texans and linebacker Henry To’oTo’o reached a two-year contract extension valued at $16 million, with the potential to add $1 million in incentives. Negotiated by agent Ryan Williams of Athletes First, the deal keeps To’oTo’o under contract through the 2028 season.

To’oTo’o, a 25-year-old who entered the league as a fifth-round pick in the 2023 draft, posted 95 tackles and 2.5 sacks in his rookie campaign. In the 2024 season—his first as a full-time starter—he recorded 105 tackles, demonstrating a marked increase in production.

The extension makes To’oTo’o the second member of the Texans’ 2023 draft class to secure a new deal, following defensive end Will Anderson Jr.’s three-year, $150 million contract that set a record for the highest-paid non-quarterback. He also joins a growing list of defensive players receiving sizable extensions this offseason: All-Pro defensive end Danielle Hunter signed a one-year, $40 million extension, and Pro Bowl linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair agreed to a three-year, $54 million deal.
