Drone-Bomb Threat at Leipzig Airport Raises Hybrid-War Concerns in Germany

Police and security experts defused an explosive-laden drone that entered Leipzig/Halle airport shortly before midnight. The device, described as a fist-sized ball of Semtex, was discovered while two Antonov cargo planes were on the tarmac. A DHL aircraft later struck an unknown object during the airport’s abrupt closure and was diverted to Hannover. The incident has prompted officials to label it a “professional hybrid threat situation.”
