8/7/2026, 9:40:57 AM

First Brazilian Delivery

On August 6, 2026 Honda Aircraft Company announced the inaugural delivery of its HondaJet Elite II to Brazil. The aircraft was handed to Líder Aviação, the exclusive authorized sales representative for HondaJet in the country. Líder Aviação, headquartered in Belo Horizonte, operates 22 fixed-base operations (FBOs) across Brazil and has facilitated nine HondaJet deliveries there since 2017.

Type Validation by ANAC

The delivery follows successful type validation by the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The agency confirmed that the Elite II meets Brazil’s safety and performance standards, clearing the model for registration and future sales throughout the nation.

Performance Enhancements and Capabilities

The Elite II builds on the original HondaJet platform with several upgrades: a maximum NBAA IFR range of 1,547 nautical miles, increased fuel capacity, and an autothrottle system that automatically manages engine power to maintain desired speeds. These improvements expand mission capability, allowing more direct city-pair connections across South America and reducing pilot workload.

Official Statements & Market Impact

Amod Kelkar, senior vice president and chief commercial officer of Honda Aircraft, said the delivery highlights the company’s commitment to expanding its global fleet presence while delivering value to customers worldwide. He added that the Elite II’s enhanced features will enable Brazilian and South-American customers to travel farther, more efficiently, and with greater comfort.

Upcoming Display at LABACE 2026

The Elite II will be on static display at LABACE 2026, Latin America’s largest business-aviation show, from August 4 to 6 at Campo de Marte Airport in São Paulo.
