Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Christian Parker Calls Practice Videos “Weird”

Defensive coordinator Christian Parker told Dallas-area radio station 105.3 The Fan that seeing clips of Cowboys drills posted online is “weird” and that he is “not a fan.” He recalled using opponents’ practice footage while coaching with Green Bay, Denver and Philadelphia, noting that he had even followed Cowboys beat writers before joining the team for that purpose.

At the start of the 2026 training camp the Cowboys instituted a short-lived ban on media recording of drills, citing concerns that such footage could give upcoming opponents valuable scouting information. Within weeks the organization lifted the restriction, allowing beat writers and fans to resume posting video highlights.
