Cardinals Reject Trade Rumors for Edge Rusher Josh Sweat

Arizona Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort said the organization has “no interest in trading Josh,” addressing circulating summer rumors that edge rusher Josh Sweat wanted a move. The statement was made on Monday during the team’s offseason updates.

Sweat finished the 2025 season with a career-high 12 sacks, establishing himself as a premier pass rusher. He entered the 2026 offseason on the physically unable-to-perform (PUP) list while recovering from a knee injury. Consequently, he missed voluntary organized team activities, the summer minicamp, and the mandatory minicamp in June, and has not yet practiced with the Cardinals this year.
