During the opening night in Minneapolis, Lionel Richie became ill, prompting the postponement of two shows under doctors’ advice. The San Francisco incident follows that earlier interruption, marking the second major health-related change on the current leg of the tour.

The band’s representatives declined to provide further details about the member’s condition. TMZ reported that the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a “cardiac incident” prior to the concert, transporting one person to a hospital; the patient’s identity was not disclosed in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

The tour will resume in Palm Desert on August 8, followed by shows in Los Angeles (August 9), Phoenix (August 11) and Austin (August 14). Previously postponed concerts in Chicago and Columbus have been moved to September 30 and October 2, respectively, with the Columbus show already having taken place. Ticket holders for the canceled San Francisco performance are advised to retain their tickets for the future date or seek refunds through the original purchase channel.
