Michael Fulmer Signs Minor-League Deal with Los Angeles Angels After Giants Release

The San Francisco Giants released right-handed pitcher Michael Fulmer from their Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento. Within days, the Los Angeles Angels signed Fulmer to a new minor-league contract and assigned him to their Triple-A club, the Salt Lake Bees. The move positions the 33-year-old as depth for the Angels during the final stretch of the season.

While with Sacramento, he posted a sub-3.00 earned-run average over 42 1/3 innings, striking out 29 % of batters faced. His most recent major-league action came in 2025 with brief stints for the Cubs and Red Sox, totaling 5.2 innings. He did not appear in an MLB game during the 2024 season because of injury.
