Lisandro Martínez Joins Manchester United’s Irish Pre-Season Camp

Lisandro Martínez arrived at Manchester United’s preseason training camp in the Republic of Ireland, giving manager Michael Carrick an almost-complete roster ahead of the friendly against Leeds United at Croke Park. England internationals Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo were among nine players who had already returned, narrowing the squad’s World Cup-era gaps.

The camp follows United’s month-long tour of Finland, Norway and Sweden, after the 2023 World Cup final scheduled for July 19, in which Argentina lost to Spain. United’s itinerary differs from many clubs by returning to Carrington after each match, allowing the team to continue preparations on familiar grounds while still traveling for high-level games.
