Puppet Film Adaptation Brings Gordon Bressack’s Play “Fuggedaboudit!” to Life

Gordon Bressack, a three-time Emmy-winning writer for 1990s animated series such as *Animaniacs* and *Pinky and the Brain*, died in 2019 after a prolonged health battle. Among his lesser-known works is the stage play *Fuggedaboudit!*, which premiered in 2009 at Los Angeles’s Hudson Backstage Theater with human actors. Seven years after his death, his son James Cullen Bressack has revived the material as a feature-length film that will be performed entirely by puppets rather than live actors. The story follows a New York model who, after a car accident erases his memory, is confronted by an ex-fiancée, an ex-girlfriend, a mobster and a circle of brutally honest friends, each trying to rewrite his past.
