China’s C919 completes first China-Mongolia commercial flight

C919 International Debut
- On August 12, 2026, a China-built C919 jet completed its first scheduled international commercial flight, leaving Beijing and landing at Ulaanbaatar’s Chinggis Khaan Airport at 4:58 pm.
- Airport staff saluted the aircraft with a water-cannon blast, and the flight satisfied bilateral requirements for regular China-Mongolia service.
- Air China operates 12 C919s with over 12,000 safe flights and 1.62 million passengers, which have opened 58 routes and carried more than 7.5 million passengers since May 28, 2023.
