Deadline reported that actress Charlotte Kirk will star as Mary Doyle in the upcoming psychological thriller The Spiral Down. The story follows a serial killer obsessed with perfection who kidnaps Doyle, only for the investigation to reveal that she is a dangerous escapee from a psychiatric institution with a violent past. After killing her captor and disappearing, law enforcement shifts its focus to a larger threat.

The film will be produced by Neil Marshall, Charlotte Kirk, and Karlos Ways under the banner of Primal Empire Studios. Aaron Mirtes is slated to direct, and principal photography is set to begin in Kentucky, U.S., next month. Kirk’s representation includes Mavrick Artists Agency and Church-Hugger Management.
