VA Raises GI Bill
- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs updated Post-9/11 GI Bill rates effective August 1 for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Veterans with 36 months of service receive 100 percent of the benefit, while those with 18-23 months receive 70 percent.
- The tuition cap increased to $30,908 for private, foreign and non-degree programs, up from $29,921.
- Veterans must verify eligibility with the VA and their school’s veterans affairs office before enrolling for 2026-27.
