Hulu is advancing a television adaptation of Gayle Forman’s young-adult romance novels *Just One Day* and *Just One Year*. The series will star Kathryn Newton as Allyson Healey and will be produced by 20th Television. Executive producers include Patrick Moran—who previously ran ABC Studios’ predecessor—alongside Sherri Cooper, Jennifer Levin, Forman, and Anna Mastro. The project originated under Amazon via Moran’s PKM Productions but was later redeveloped at Hulu with the same writing team.

The first novel debuted in 2013 from Allyson’s perspective; the sequel, released in 2014, recounts the same day from Willem’s point of view.
