Teen’s Death in Linsjade Triggers Murder Inquiry

Police were dispatched just after 10 p.m. on Thursday to reports of a possible burglary on Soulbury Road in Linslade, near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Emergency crews found a 17-year-old boy unresponsive; after first-aid attempts he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The scene was secured and a major-crime investigation was launched.

Bedfordshire Police, working with the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of murder. Three additional men were taken into custody in connection with the incident, bringing the total number of suspects to four. Investigators have reviewed CCTV footage and are appealing for any door-bell or surveillance recordings that might shed light on the events. They have repeatedly stated that enquiries have uncovered no evidence that the teenager was attempting a burglary.
