Officers patrolling near the intersection of East South Street and South Meridian Street reported hearing multiple gunshots at approximately 3:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds; both victims were reported as stable.

A nearby vehicle, which contained a woman, was searched and a second gun was recovered near the car. One gun was seized from the detained suspect, another was found near the searched vehicle, and two additional weapons were discovered inside a trash can close to the downtown White Castle restaurant.
