Jim Jordan Says House Judiciary Committee Has Exhausted Its Probe into Federal “Weaponization”

On Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asserted that his committee has “done everything” it can to investigate what he described as the weaponization of the federal government. He emphasized that the committee’s work includes criminal referrals against several former senior officials.

Jordan detailed that the committee has referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department, stating the referral occurred eight months ago and was based on alleged false statements. He also said the committee recently referred former special counsel Jack Smith for prosecution, accusing Smith of lying about his access to congressional phone-record metadata and failing to disclose text-message records obtained from the National Archives. Additionally, Jordan noted a referral of Thomas Windom, a deputy of Smith, for alleged obstruction of the committee’s investigation.
