Indonesia Responds
- Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) confirmed at least 54 deaths from the magnitude-7.7 quake on August 15.
- BNPB said 199 people were injured, 9,963 displaced and 2,403 homes damaged, including 1,543 severely.
- BNPB logged 995 aftershocks, 46 felt, and lifted the tsunami warning after three hours as waves stayed under one metre.
- Around 3,500 soldiers and police deployed and air-dropped 275 tonnes of aid.
