Trump Administration Pauses Border Construction in Big Bend National Park

The Department of Homeland Security announced a temporary halt to the wall-building project that would cross Big Bend National Park in southern Texas. The pause coincides with a personal site visit by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Rodney Scott, who said he will conduct an “on-the-ground evaluation.” The administration has described the suspension as a short-term measure while the assessment is completed.
