Rory McIlroy’s Struggles at the FedEx St. Jude Championship

Rory McIlroy finished solo 66th in the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the opening stage of the FedExCup, at TPC Southwind in Memphis. The four-round total of 74-70-72-72 on the par-70 course left him unable to break par at any point. The result marked a sharp decline for the PGA Tour star.

Following the final round, McIlroy said he entered the tournament without extensive practice and felt his swing “lost” as the week progressed. McIlroy added that he must work hard in the days leading up to the next event to regain a competitive level.
