Early Monday morning, a jogger discovered an adult woman lying unconscious beside a burgundy sedan in a small gravel parking lot near the Difficult Run Trail, in the 8800 block of Georgetown Pike. Police noted trauma to her upper body and pronounced her dead at the scene. The vehicle was registered to the victim, who lived in Fairfax County but was not believed to reside in the immediate vicinity of the parking area.
