Mourinho’s Overhaul: Real Madrid’s New Lineup for 2026-27

In this setup Jude Bellingham occupies the attacking-midfield role, while the lone central midfielder is expected to be Aurélien Tchouaméni. The change follows Real Madrid’s failure to secure a trophy, culminating in a 2-0 loss to Barcelona at the Camp Nou on May 10, which ended the club’s hopes of avoiding a second consecutive title-less season.

Real Madrid entered the summer market with more than €125 million invested in winger Yan Diomande, the most expensive signing in the club’s history. Other arrivals include full-back Marc Cucurella, defender Ibrahima Konaté, right-back Denzel Dumfries, midfielder Bernardo Silva and centre-back Carlos Espí.
