Neighbors Bank, a direct-to-consumer mortgage lender headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, announced the inaugural Neighbor of the Year contest.
Eligibility, Nomination Process, and Prize
The nomination window opened on August 3, 2026 and will close on September 1, 2026. Community members nationwide may submit up to five nominations at NeighborsBank.com/NeighborOfTheYear. Eligible nominees must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state) and cannot reside in New York or Florida. No purchase or bank-customer status is required. After nominations, a public voting period runs until September 21, 2026, with the winner slated for announcement on September 28, 2026, coinciding with National Good Neighbor Day.
The judging panel includes Talia Jackson, President and CEO of the Heart of Missouri United Way; Leslie Cook, Lead Real Estate Editor at Money; David Burton, author and creator of Missouri Good Neighbor Week; and Angela Santomero, creator of *Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood* and *Blue’s Clues*.
