DBV Demands Aid
- German Farmers' Association (DBV) says the grain harvest will fall 7% to 41.9 million tonnes because of drought and heat.
- The Federal Statistical Office projects the apple harvest will drop 17.9% from last year and sit 5.4% below the ten-year average.
- DBV President Joachim Rukwied urged Berlin to provide aid, including subsidy payouts, fertilizer support and a diesel-tax cut through 30 November 2026.
