Rukwied Warns Harvest
- DBV President Joachim Rukwied warned on Tuesday that Germany’s grain harvest will be 7 % lower, at 41.9 million tons.
- He said rapeseed will drop nearly 17 % to 3.3 million tons and field losses total €600 million.
- The DBV urged an immediate aid package, a €180 million boost to EU fertilizer aid and a diesel-tax cut through November.
- Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer said support will follow official figures due end-August.
