UNO Championship Series Announced

Mattel Inc. disclosed that it is launching the UNO Championship Series, a live-event competition designed to turn the classic card game into a tournament-style showdown. The series will be streamed on Twitch, offering fans worldwide a front-row view of elite players battling for the title.

Competition Format and Timeline

Qualifying rounds will occur both in-person and digitally. In-person events are slated for early October in Kissimmee, Florida; mid-October in Chicago; and later October in El Segundo, California. Concurrently, U.S. players can earn championship spots through free weekly qualifiers hosted in the UNO Mobile app from the end of August through September. The culminating tournament will take place in early November in Los Angeles, featuring participants from multiple countries.

Prize and Broadcast Details

The final tournament will be live-streamed on Twitch, with the champion receiving a $50,000 grand prize. To coincide with the competition, Mattel is releasing a new line of Championship Series products.
