Train Derails
- A track geometry irregularity derailed train 1F34 near Lewes on 13 August 2026, injuring 30 people.
- The train traveled about 65 mph, causing three rear carriages to overturn while the front five remained on the track.
- Around 150 passengers were aboard, with 20 requiring hospital treatment, including two serious injuries.
- Network Rail and GTR said the Lewes-Haywards Heath line will stay closed until 26 August while carriages are lifted.
