UAE Suspends Iran Trade
- On Aug. 19 2026 the UAE announced trade and transaction suspension with Iran after accusing Tehran of firing two ballistic missiles at Emirates.
- Ministry reported 550 ballistic and 29 cruise missiles plus 2,265 drones from Iran since Feb. 28, saying August launches were the first since May.
- Afra Al Hameli said suspension stays in force and UAE committed to dialogue.
- UAE-Iran trade averaged $6 billion in exports and $500 million in imports each year.
