A circa-1910 Suffragette Christmas card was uncovered during a WeBuyVintage appraisal event in Mold, Flintshire. Its design employs the Women’s Social and Political Union’s (Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU)) purple, white and green colour scheme.
Historical Context
The WSPU sold such cards to raise funds and keep the demand for universal female enfranchisement visible during the holiday season. The year 1910 was marked by intense confrontation, culminating in “Black Friday” on November 18, when roughly 300 suffragettes were assaulted by Metropolitan Police officers outside the Houses of Parliament.

Antiques specialists have independently valued the card at £2,500 (approximately KES 412,000).
