Nigel Farage’s Frequent Appearances at Trump-Aligned Events

Since the 2024 general election, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has spoken at more than a dozen events tied to former U.S. President Donald Trump. Appearances include the Heartland Institute’s 40th-anniversary fundraiser in Chicago (September 2024), the Club for Growth, the New York Young Republicans Club, the July 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, the 2025 and 2026 Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conferences, and the UK franchise of Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) held last month. He also addressed the National Conservatism (NatCon) conference in Washington, DC (September 2025) alongside senior Trump official Russell Vought. Farage has claimed to have spoken at “over 10 CPACs in America” and described the Trump era as a “political revolution” he wishes to emulate in the UK.

DeSmog reports that Reform UK’s largest donor, Christopher Harborne, has provided more than £25 million to the party since its 2019 founding and maintains financial ties to Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The party’s policy network includes the Heartland Institute, which featured Farage as a keynote speaker in September 2024 and hosted a Reform UK panel at its 2025 annual conference. Other Reform figures—policy head James Orr, treasurer Nick Candy, MPs Danny Kruger and Suella Braverman, and home-affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf—have also spoken at MAGA-aligned events such as ARC and the Heritage Foundation, the latter of which Yusuf addressed in June 2025.

After winning the Clacton by-election in July 2024, Farage returned to the House of Commons and denied wrongdoing regarding a £5 million gift from Harborne received before the 2024 election. He stated he has “no case to answer” and framed the standards-commissioner investigation as an “establishment hit job.” The inquiry will determine whether the gift should have been registered when Farage first became an MP.
