The Weeknd’s Wembley Run Boosts Charity, Streaming and Tourism

Record-breaking Wembley performances

The Canadian pop star Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, completed a five-night sold-out engagement at London’s Wembley Stadium on August 19, 2026. The UK leg of his “After Hours Til Dawn” stadium tour also featured two shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, bringing the total to seven UK concerts that attracted more than 450,000 fans from nearly 150 countries.

Charitable impact

Each UK ticket contributed £1 (or €1 for European sales) to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and Global Citizen. The concerts therefore raised more than $350,000 for those organisations, funding the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and The Weeknd’s XO Humanitarian Fund, both aimed at expanding education and addressing global hunger.

Streaming surge and market effects

In the week following the Wembley dates, The Weeknd’s UK audio streams climbed 55 %, reaching over 11 million plays—an increase against the prior four-week average. The surge illustrates how stadium touring can drive catalog discovery and streaming growth.

Tour scale and upcoming dates

The “After Hours Til Dawn” tour has surpassed $1 billion in global gross and sold over 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows, making it the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist. After the UK run, the production will continue with two concerts at Dublin’s Croke Park, followed by dates in Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon, before moving to an Asian leg later in the year.
