Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants Dropped by The CW, Move to Streaming

The Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions, slated for live broadcast on The CW, were removed from the network’s schedule less than a week before the events. The pageants had been scheduled for Wednesday, August 26 (Miss Teen USA) and Thursday, August 27 (Miss USA). The CW’s decision leaves both contests to be streamed on the Queen Beauty Network, a digital outlet that previously carried the 2025 editions after The CW’s ownership changes prevented a televised airing.

The contests have changed owners several times, most recently being acquired by BDE Miss USA in June 2026 after a multi-year deal with The CW was announced. Earlier controversies include the May 2024 resignations of Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt and Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava, who alleged abuse and bullying by organizers. In addition, former Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse was dethroned earlier this month for conduct the organization said violated its policies on racism, homophobia and transphobia; she was replaced by runner-up Myla Hadley.

The CW released a brief statement saying it had “carefully considered” the situation and decided to forgo the broadcasts, wishing the organization and contestants well.
