U.S. federal prosecutors have indicted Sinaloa Governor Ruben Rocha, 77, on drug-trafficking, bribery and cartel-protection charges. The indictment, announced in April, accuses Rocha and nine current or former officials of conspiring with the Los Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel to facilitate drug shipments into the United States in exchange for political support and bribes.
