ICE Records Surge
- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested nearly 50,000 people in July 2026, the highest monthly total in President Donald Trump’s second administration.
- Partnerships accounted for 13% of arrests, adding 20,000 detainees from Texas and Florida via 287(g) agreements, with New York ending its 287(g) pact in August 2025.
- Local agencies made 6,500 arrests, up from under 5% of ICE’s monthly total a year earlier.
