Fed Holds Rates
- The Federal Reserve (Fed) Board kept the primary credit rate at 3.75%.
- Directors at Dallas, Cleveland, Minneapolis and Kansas City Fed banks voted to raise the rate by 0.25 point.
- The Federal Open Market Committee voted 9-3 on July 28-29 to keep the benchmark rate at 3.5%-3.75%.
- Cleveland President Beth Hammack, Dallas President Lorie Logan and Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari dissented, urging a hike.
