Announcement Overview
At Gamescom 2026, Paradox Interactive revealed a new LEGO-themed entry in its Cities: Skylines franchise, titled LEGO Skylines. The game places players in charge of building and managing a city constructed from LEGO bricks, populated by the series’ signature yellow minifigures. No release window has been provided, but the publisher confirmed the title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Development Background
LEGO Skylines is being developed by Iceflake Studios, the studio currently responsible for *Cities: Skylines II*. Iceflake assumed development after the original creator, Colossal Order, and Paradox Interactive ended their partnership in November 2025. While Paradox retained the *Cities: Skylines* brand, it recruited Iceflake to continue the series and now partners with the LEGO Group for this new spin-off.
Official Details
Paradox Interactive and the LEGO Group have positioned the title as both a functional city simulation and a sandbox for “outlandish and absurd ideas” using LEGO bricks and decorations.
