Bronx Courts Renovated as City Boosts Tennis Access During the U.S. Open

The city released 1,000 discounted tickets—match and grounds passes priced at $100 each for sessions between the tournament’s opening weekend and its conclusion. The tickets sold out almost immediately, underscoring strong demand for lower-cost access to the event.

The Bronx has historically had fewer tennis resources than other boroughs. Crotona Park East is home to the Mayor Dinkins Cup, the nation’s largest free junior tennis competition, which draws more than 800 young athletes from across the city each year. City leaders highlighted the renovations as part of a broader strategy to expand tennis opportunities for local youth and to encourage participation from residents of all five boroughs.
