- Boston died at 92 on Tuesday, four days after Lady Joan’s funeral.
- Boston, the second-highest try-scorer with 478 tries, was honored with black shirts and a minute’s silence.
- Special jerseys replaced the Tote logo with “Billy,” and kickoff delayed to 8:02 pm.
- Wreaths were laid by Wigan CEO Kris Radlinski, Neil Hudgell and RFL chair Nigel Wood.
