High Court Quashes
- On 25 August 2026 the High Court quashed the Parades Commission’s decision to ban Orange Order’s Drumcree parade from Garvaghy Road in Portadown.
- Sir Chris Bryant said confidence in the commission was damaged and will meet its chair to discuss strengthening its procedures.
- The court found the commission issued ban without signatures from six members, breaching procedure.
- Grand Orange Lodge welcomed ruling and urged the secretary of state to launch review.
