Armored Mewtwo Returns for Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale

The Pokémon Company and Scopely announced that Armored Mewtwo will be available in five-star Raid Battles during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale. The raids run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and again on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Trainers will not be able to encounter a Shiny version of the Pokémon.

• Mega Mewtwo X – Dynamic Punch+ – Costs 5 Mewtwo Candy and 75 Mewtwo Mega Energy X, lasts 10 minutes, and applies a 1.15× damage multiplier in Mega Raids. It also lets Trainers break an extra shield in Super Mega Raids.

• Mega Mewtwo Y – Future Sight+ – Costs 5 Mewtwo Candy and 75 Mewtwo Mega Energy Y, lasts 12 minutes, and reveals the appraisal tier (3-star or higher) of encountered Pokémon.

Both Adventure Effects remain usable when Mewtwo is not Mega-Evolved, provided the same resource costs are met.

The Pokémon Company reiterated that the raid will be limited to five-star difficulty and confirmed the non-availability of a Shiny variant.

The Mega Finale runs across September 5–6 2026, featuring Mega Mewtwo X on the first day and Mega Mewtwo Y on the second. Scopely indicated that further Mega-Evolved Pokémon will continue to receive new Charged Attacks as the game progresses toward Super Max Levels, though no additional dates or content beyond the Mega Finale have been announced.
