Flag Football Added to 2027 College Football Playoff Championship Festivities

The College Football Playoff (CFP) announced that flag football will be featured as part of the 2027 national championship game celebrations in Las Vegas. The new CFP Flag Football Showcase will be held inside CFP Fan Central at the Las Vegas Convention Center, offering men’s and women’s teams an open invitational across multiple divisions and age groups, from youth to adult.

The showcase will run over three days in late January, guaranteeing each participating team three games that include pool play followed by a single-elimination tournament. CFP Fan Central is described as a free, family-friendly environment that will also host games, clinics, pep rallies, guest appearances, autograph sessions and exhibits honoring college football history. Registration for the inaugural event is slated to open in mid-September.
